“Our Christian faith extends an invitation to each of us to become agents of God’s compassion and healing in a wounded world. JustFaith Ministries empowers ordinary people and their communities to act on that invitation. Through workshops and programs, JustFaith Ministries helps participants to expand their commitment to social ministry within their faith communities.” ~ JustFaith Ministries

JustFaith Engaging Spirituality
“JustFaith Ministries presents a spiritual deepening process that invites small groups of adult Christians to explore the intersection between contemplative presence and social action, as it is lived out in their own lives. Engaging Spirituality focuses on the practical challenges of following Jesus into the broken heart of our world, inspired by the urgency and spirit of the Gospel message to our lives, to our relationships, and to our times. Participants practice “the undivided life” of Christian discipleship—engaging in contemplation while immersing ourselves in the heart of our fragmented world.

Tidewater Sowers of Justice
Nurturing a Creative, Compassionate Community for the Common Good.
The Tidewater Sowers of Justice (TSOJ) is a committed community of those struggling for justice in a world that awaits a new model where justice is seen as essential, not optional, where peace is waged, not war, where all are important, not just the few. Rooted in the Baptismal commitment, the sacrament of Christian initiation, that contains in seed the entire development of the spiritual journey, TSOJ are challenged by the demands of Christian life.
“You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10:27).
“To love someone is to desire that person’s well being and to take effective steps to secure it . . .. If we love others, then first of all we are just to them.” Justice is not extraneous to charity, nor “is it an alternative or parallel path to charity it is inseparable to charity and intrinsic to it” (Benedict XVI,Caritas in Veritate, July 2009, #6 & 7).
Compelled by mission as followers of Christ, TSOJ seek the common good with compassion, love of neighbor, in a nurturing, creative manner that is proactive, prophetic and persistent.
This challenging time in history demands a broader world vision and experience --- that we meet the future with creative alternatives and new possibilities. World powers are shifting and cross-cultural experience is becoming a way of life. The increasingly interconnected character of the political, economic and social life of the peoples of this planet offers new hope for human solidarity. ContactTim McCarthy.
